As the Junior Designer at Mattel I would often be tasked with creating the print collateral for their various events or promotions. I worked within existing style guides using approved assets, using the constraints to create compelling games like word searches or mazes (which I designed or wrote, using words associated with the brand or the promotion) or appealing advertisements.
I also helped put together presentations. I helped create a Powerpoint with examples of various product lines for a meeting with a retailer and would sometimes design the layout of sell sheets used at the many trade shows Mattel participated in.
Other projects included banner ads and email blasts. The email blasts were to advertise that there were approved graphics created by another studio that vendors could use to apply to clothing, backpacks and so on.
